Founded in 1918, CITIZEN marks its 100th anniversary this year. The anniversary event celebrates various aspects of the brand, including its heritage, present successes “now” and also a glimpse of the future.

Over the past six years, Tsuyoshi Tane, from his eponymous architectural design firm Atelier Tsuyoshi Tane Architects, has worked closely with CITIZEN to develop concepts that define the significance of “what time is” for the manufacture d’horlogerie.

CITIZEN’s first event in 2014 was also held at the Spiral Garden in Aoyama, Tokyo. CITZEN — We Celebrate Time anniversary event will further expand on the concept of “time,” which includes watches “now.”
