Developing a watch for the blind and visually impaired

AT CITIZEN, we want everyone to get equal use and enjoyment from their watch.

This motivated us to release Japan’s first-ever tactile watch for the blind and visually impaired in 1960.

By reaching out to the visually impaired community to discover exactly what they want, we have managed to make watches that combine usability and design at the highest level.
