CITIZEN evolved titanium into Super Titanium™ by combining our proprietary titanium-processing technologies and our surface-hardening technology Duratect. We overcame all titanium’s inherent disadvantages: its softness and vulnerability to scratching; its resistance to being machined; and the difficulty of polishing it, creating glossy finishes, or adding colour variations. In so doing, we created a material with new possibilities.
