Connection

I cannot connect the watch after changing my smartphone to a new one or updating its OS.

Remove all the registration information and try pairing (registration) again.

!

See "Performing a clean install of the dedicated app and trying pairing (registration) again" when you cannot register your smartphone even after following the steps below.

1. Check the power reserve of the watch.

Charge the watch until level 2 when the power reserve level is "1" or lower.

You cannot execute operation for registration when the power reserve level of the watch is "0".

  1. Pull the crown out to position 1.
  2. The second hand points to 30 seconds and stops.

  3. Rotate the crown to change the mode to [TME].
  4. Push the crown in to position 0.
  5. Press the lower right button A repeatedly to make the function hand indicate power reserve.

2. Remove the registration information on the watch.

    Registration information may be stored even when registration is failed.
    Delete it previously.

  1. Pull the crown out to position 2.
  2. The second hand points the number of the registration information currently chosen and the function hand indicates connection status (ON/OFF).

  3. Press and hold the upper right button B for 7 seconds.
  4. Deletion of the registration information currently chosen is finished as the second hand turns fully around.

  5. Rotate the crown to choose another registration information.
  6. Repeat steps 6 and 7 to remove all the registration information.
  7. Push the crown in to position 0.
  8. The second hand and function hand return to normal indication.

3. Remove registration information on the smartphone.

    !

    Registration information may be stored even when registration is failed.
    Delete it previously.

  1. Remove "Eco-Drive W770" from the list of registered devices in the Bluetooth setting on all the smartphones that have ever connected with the watch.
  2. !

    When "Eco-Drive W770" cannot be seen, it has already been deleted or not been registered yet.

4. Uninstall the dedicated app from your smartphone and install it again.

  1. Uninstall the dedicated app "CITIZEN Bluetooth Watch" from the smartphones.
  2. Download the dedicated app "CITIZEN Bluetooth Watch" at an app site and install it.
  3. Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone.

5. Register.

  1. Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone.
  2. Start up the dedicated app on the smartphone.
  3. !

    Keep the screen of the app shown.

    !

    Agree when a dialog appears to request your permission to use Bluetooth connection.

  4. Press and release the upper right button B.
  5. The second hand points "ACT" (40-second position) and registration starts.

  6. Check whether "Connected" is displayed on the screen of the app.
  7. Registration is finished if "Connected" is shown.
    The watch and the smartphone are connected as registration is finished.
    The function hand of the watch points "ON" of connection status and the second hand returns to normal movement.

    !

    It may take about 20 - 30 seconds to finish registration.
