What is GMT?

GMT stands for “Greenwich Mean Time”

While GMT originally refers to the world’s standard time,
in wristwatches it is used to indicate a second time zone through an additional 24‑hour GMT hand,
most commonly used to display home time and local time.

GMT generally comes in two configurations

Traveller GMT

This type is used by adjusting the main time.

As the hour hand can be operated independently, it enables quick and easy adjustment of the local time when traveling abroad.

Series 8 features a Traveller GMT for those whose work knows no borders.
Caller GMT

This type is used by adjusting the 24-hour hand.

As the secondary time can be changed smoothly, it is useful for checking the other party’s local time, for example, when making international calls.
